AWAKEN THE ATHLETE WITHIN
At Collective Soul, we believe in empowering women; and we are proud to bring our Prenatal and Postpartum Fitness classes to the community! These classes bring a unique fusion of fitness and education to our pregnant and postpartum clients. Led by a pre and postnatal fitness specialist and registered nurse, we educate moms on the value of proper body mechanics, the fundamentals of strength training, pelvic floor basics, and coordinated breathing. This all relates to a better pregnancy experience, smoother delivery, and better recovery outcomes. Don’t give up on yourself, mama. We believe in you, and we are here to support your wellbeing before, during, and after pregnancy.
Goals: Prenatal
- Increase muscular strength which will aid in faster recovery and smoother pregnancy experience
- Educate mothers on the importance of proper body mechanics, the fundamentals of strength training, coordinated breathing, and how it all relates to a more positive pregnancy experience, smoother delivery, and quicker recovery

- Prepare moms for the physical and mental work of postpartum and new parenthood
- Get exclusive access to our occasional guest speakers about breastfeeding and postpartum therapy!
Goals: Postpartum

- Learn about your pelvic floor- anatomy, common injuries and how to prevent them, strengthening practices, relaxation techniques. Exercises will be very specific to help heal and restore strength.
- With your permission, your instructor will do a hands-on diastasis recti assessment (ab separation) on each client to assess starting point for core recovery.
Structure: Prenatal
Classes will be kept small, roughly 3-5 people. The smaller class size will allow Madi to come alongside everyone and work with you where you are at. Since this class includes expectant mothers in all stages of pregnancy, there will be some mamas who need more accommodation than others. As your baby grows, some exercises will need to be changed to accommodate your little one and keep you both safe. We are happy to educate and accommodate, offering as many modifications as possible to support you both. Class itself includes a combination of educational segments, simple workouts, and take home exercises to practice and build strength. Prenatal classes are offered twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays at 4:30pm.
Structure: Postnatal
Pregnancy and postpartum are very unique experiences. It is different for each woman, and can vary greatly between pregnancies. Whether you have had a C-section or vaginal birth, good or bad experiences, one baby or six, we are here to support you and meet you where you are at. This Postpartum program will be kept to a small class size, 3-5 clients, and very customized! In class we will teach the fundamentals of pelvic floor and core recovery, and send each mom home with a weekly plan designed just for her. Your weekly plan will support realistic goals with the workouts promised to be short, sweet, and effective. We want to assist you in restoring strength, address pelvic floor dysfunction if present and prevent it, educate on proper body mechanics, and get you back to your favorite activities with no injury.
This class is for any mom who is at least 6 weeks postpartum AND has been cleared for exercise. Getting core and pelvic floor support sooner rather than later after birth is most effective. However, if your youngest is up to 3 years old, and you have been struggling with the aftermath of birth this class is open to you as well. Injury after birth can last a lifetime if not addressed! Issues such as leaking when laughing, coughing or running (stress incontinence), bladder or uterine prolapse, pelvic pain, large gap in abdominal muscles, etc. These issues are COMMON, not NORMAL. And many times these symptoms can be managed with the techniques taught in this class.
Postpartum classes will begin in July 2026. We are planning this class for Saturdays at 8:00am.
